Rose~I miss Res, I thought as the clumsy boy spun me around the plaza. I skillfully took the lead when he tripped yet again, and we finally began to do somthing resembling a waltz. A friend of mine had asked me to give lessons to her brother, since we were close to the same age(wink), so he would'nt feel awkard with a older woman. Curse me kindess! He stumpled and I had to use my strength to keep use from going down. "Lucaet, why don't we just call it quits, and say that we danced all day?" I smiled sweetly and he nodded gratefully. YES!!! We said our goodbyes, and I suantered off to go ride my horse, Whiskey.

I sighed. looking at a shirt. The silince while shopping was nice at times but the lake of friend around me made me sad. I paid for the shirt and put it in my bag. I did not care for the gossip or what other people were talking about. After Dillon had disapered I had lost intrest ing what was going on around me. My mother understood. My father was sick of it and my little brother was not happy i was ignoring him. I prefered coming when the market was less busy but I had decided against my best judgment and came when it was more busy. The waltz sounded wonderful. As I passed by shops.

Ileana was personally quite overwhelmed. Annoyingly enough, that emotion was completely buried underneath the wave of feelings that washed over her the instant she set foot in the plaza. She pushed them aside as best as she could and longingly stared over at the quintet in the corner. She would have loved to sing along. Instead, she just closed her eyes and listened to the music. But everyone else was so noisy. Apparently, it was impossible to just listen to music without dancing. Actually, that was perfectly fine with Illy. She grabbed the nearest boy and began to waltz. Waltz, she decided, is a funny word.

"You think I'm a boy?" Mya said in astonishment as Illy took her hands and they began to waltz. "I assure you, I'm a really a woman...but I don't mind a good dance, nonetheless." She began to spin around the plaza to the upbeat music. They moved around other people on the dance floor, completely oblivious to the fact that Mya was not a girl--perhaps she just had a good disguise? When the song was done, Mya let go of Illy's hands and bowed. "The pleasure is all mine."

Ileana grinned and mock-curtsied at the end of the dance. She looked her dance partner up and down. "Why would you want to disguise yourself as a boy? Don't you know they have cooties?" she teased. "Furthermore, would you agree that waltz is a strange word? How often do words start with 'w' and end with 'z,' anyhow? Not to mention the fact that somehow we end up with three consonants beside each other. Waltz." She blinked innocently into the apparent woman's face. "You haven't got a name, have you? One can never tell around here, not when people are going around genderless and all. What's to stop them from being nameless as well?"

People were dancing on the floor, and managing to look graceful at that. Alisha wrinkled her nose, dance wasn't usually her thing. Wait, dance was just not her thing. She was blessed with two left feet, no big surprise there. Yet the plaza was the best place to go, and anyway, the song was nice, so she wasn't going to complain. She sat down on one of the chairs lying around, and just watched others taking the dance floor.

Alec made his way across the dance floor. His hair hung down over his eyes, his black shirt and ripped tight jeans made him 'stick' out. He continued walking in a straight line, heading towards the small bar on the edge of the room. He was 18, so who cared whether or not he was legally able to drink? He sure as hell didn't.
He pushed past people, some stopped to watch him walk by. He had an angry, almost, hate filled glare in his eyes. He took a glass from the bar.
"Martini on the rocks....thank you." he muttered. He turned moving from the bar, as he tossed money down on the small counter. He took a seat alone at a table of three, his eyes were pitch black. He scanned the small area before swiftly raising the glass, and tossing the contents on the plant next to him. He took a small vial of blood out of his pocket and poured it into the glass. He stirred it, and set the vial back in his pocket. He scanned the area, no one that he saw had noticed it.
Alec took a small sip, his eyes almost immediately changed to a light shade of red. The more he sipped, the lighter his eyes got until they were a dark orange. He leaned back, keeping eye contact from the rest. He bit his lip, his fang showed and he quickly stopped. He used his thumb, gently rubbing it over his lip piercing before lowering his arm and resting it on the table once more. A man walked by asking him what he had to drink, obviously a waiter.
"Martini."" he muttered, looking at the man. His eyes again looked angry, they changed to a dark red. The man moved backwards, he asked why the drink was red. "That's really none of your business, Sir...."" he growled, his once perfectly monotone voice, lowered to a warning.
As the man walked away quickly, concerning himself with the other party goers, Alec took another sip, his eyes turning to a topaz color once more. He scanned the area, he met a few eyes and quickly lowered his gaze to the table, he rested his head on his hand, his hair falling over his face, creating a barrier between him and the other gazes. He let his elbow carry the weight of his head, as he took a large gulp of his drink.

Alisha twisted her hair unconsciously, watching the dancers through hazy eyes. The colours swirled like the moving couples, green, yellow, red, purple and very soon, the brushes came together into one stroke of unidentifiable colour, a mixture of everything. A small smile touched her lips, or rather, a hint of it, as she lost herself in the world of hues. She was her own main character, and she had her own rules, with no one to demand or expect anything of her. The chroma seemed to agree, flashing in tempo to the waltz music in her background, and the realisation of the music gave her a small nudge, trying to remind her of the place she was in. Alisha brushed it off, there was no reason for anyone to interrupt her right then.
Her pretty train of thoughts became cruelly swiped away by the gasps behind her. She turned her head, and the scene that greeted her was pretty ironic, to the scene and to the music. A guy, well, not exactly a boy, was pushing past the people, trying to get to the bar. His dress style wasn't what you would exactly expect in a plaza, since most people came all dressed up but hey, Alisha thought as she looked down at her own jeans and track shoes, she wasn't exactly in the correct world either. She shrugged and her eyes followed the mysterious newcomer.

Maktiwa looked up from his position at the table. He scanned the area, his eyes wandered upon a girl, staring in his direction. He scanned the area around her, alone. He looked to his left, his eyes averting their gaze to the floor. He wore a serious look on his face, one of almost anger. He let out a sigh and looked at her again, this time, with no emotion. She wasn't dressed at all like a dancer.
Suddenly an almost evil grin played out upon his features. He vanished in lightning speed, and to a human's eye, would seem as if he magically appeared behind her. Which in reality, he ran, faster than the human eye could keep up with. He leaned against a chair, the was pushed against the table behind her.
"So I'm just that interesting? Or was I just that different from the dancers?" he questioned her in his british tone of voice. His face wore a small smile, but he wasn't looking down at her, he was merely looking across the ballroom or plaza.

Alisha's gaze was fixated on the stranger, a little frown resting on her eyebrows. She came here often, this was her little hiding place, and she recognised -mostly by face, some by name- most of the frequents who tend to hideout here as well. Yet this person, definitely not dressed for any dancing, was new to her. For some reason, he made her feel a little uneasy. As though there was something about him that she couldn't just put her hand on. And it intrigued her, for anything new just seemed to fascinate her.
He glanced at her, his face as though carved from stone. It shocked her briefly, but she didn't show it, as she averted her gaze for a moment, letting out a small sigh. She turned her head again, just to check whether the stranger was still obbserving her.
He was gone.
She blinked, how could he move so incredibly fast? Then, a rough voice came from behind her and she gasped, turning around too fast, and straining her neck in the process. "Ow," she muttered and looked up, ignoring his question and glared at him. "How did you move so fast?" she retorted with a question of her own.

Alec raised an eyebrow, a smile playing out across his features. He chuckled as she apparently hurt her neck jerking around to meet his gaze. She hadn't answered his question, she had one instead. He narrowed his eyes and pulled up a chair to sit next to her.
"You didn't answer me, I guess mine was a pointless question. What are you talking about moving so fast? I walked over, and managed to sneak around you. You apparently never noticed."
He leaned back in the chair, faking a yawn, even though he didn't need one, ever. He smirked and watched the dancers. He had a feeling she was the type that enjoyed proving people wrong, proving was the key word here. No one else had seen him, no one else had noticed. He was merely deciding whether this was an afternoon meal, or just another mortal friend. He ran his tongue over his teeth, before smiling again. He noticed he had not carried his glass with him, and someone had walked by and taken it. His eyes turned to a light shade of red, but the man who took it merely threw it away. He let out a sigh of relief, barely heard, he hoped.

Alisha still stared at him, eyes slightly frowning, hands still lingering on her neck. She read faces well, emotions were like pages, to which she flipped lazily, but this person ... his expressions, moods, thoughts, everything - everything about him eluded her, mystified her. She shook her head slightly, and gave her orange juice an accusing stare. Someone must have put something inside, and anyway, it tasted off. She pushed it away, irritated.
"Well, yes. A little pointless. After all, self praise is hardly a question, isn't it? I was sure I saw you there ... but maybe I didn't. I guess I didn't."
She shrugged lightly, throwing aside the niggling feeling that something wasn't right here. After all, she knew how delusional she gets whenever she drinks anything alcoholic. She looked out of the window, and sighed - it was almost time to go back home. But not yet. Alisha turned back, to the sight of the stranger smiling at her. He certainly was a strange guy. She tilted her head, still trying to figure him out, when she saw his eyes flash red for a second, then fade back.
"Your eyes ... Do they change colour, or is it just me again?"

Alec looked at her with an emotionless glance. He looked back at the waiter, he watched him as if he were prey for a split second. He changed his glance once more back to Alisha. He still hadn't gotten her name, and it irked him that the conversation was changing directions so constantly.
"Bah. My eyes change color? Never. You look like you feel bad though. What exactly have you had to drink? By the way, the name is Alec, Alec Bryant."
He suddenly felt guilty for playing such games. It was funny how he could hurt certain people, and not others. Honesty, courage, and interest almost seemed to stop him. He had many mortal friends, but none knew him as a Vampire. They simply thought he had a disease that never managed to make him look older. He bit his lip and leaned back, he put his hand to his head as if he had a sudden headache. He shut his eyes, he had to do something, two twisted choices, Kill or Leave.
He glanced at her again after opening his eyes, he held his breathe, he decided he'd chat with her for a few more minutes and leave. He'd head out to the beach instead, sometimes getting away helped him think straight, possibly after this meeting she'd want to find him, and next time maybe he could have his fun. But under these circumstances, he doubted he'd ever kill her. Something about such facts, he was never a good Vampire. He chose so unevenly. He had a small smirk flash upon his face as he looked out across the ballroom once again.

"Stupid drink," Alisha muttered viciously.
She looked back, and her neck screamed at her. Tired of twisting her neck, she shifted her chair, so that they were facing one another. She needed something cold that would ice her brain from getting tipsy. She glanced at her glass, and groaned, it was almost empty. She was never going to stop herself from going tipsy, and if she went back home in this condition, she knew of at least seven people who wouldn't hesitate to murder her.
"I'm Alisha," she replied, not wanting to tell him her last name, it attracted too much attention. "And somebody accidentally tipped a whole pint of alcohol in my drink." She glared at the innocent glass, and if looks could kill, the glass would have shattered by now. "Must have been Peter, or some idiot. Oh gosh, look if I start to go crazy, I'm really sorry, I can't handle any amount of alcohol, and if I do start muttering strange stuff, just -- just leave me here, kays?"
She inhaled deeply, and grabbed the water pitcher, pouring herself a cup of cool water. She took a sip, and glanced at Alec, wondering if she had freaked him out. Tilting her head again, she asked, "So what's your story?"

Alec listened to her but his eyes seemed to dart around as if he expected someone to come flying forward at him. His right hand kept being clenched then relaxed. He slowly breathed in and out, ignoring any temptation. Her voice had almost become lost, then a sudden question caused his head to jerk in her direction, his eyes staring straight at her for a split second before he looked away again.
"Story? Ummm. Nothing of too much interest, just a uh...just looking around. Following the same streets that I have been stuck with for way too long....I don't believe leaving a girl here is gentleman like. Even if asked for, that's not an option. I could at least escort you to some sort of safe zone. A friends house, an aunt or uncle's?...."
He suddenly stopped talking, his jaw tensed as he peered in between the crowd. He looked around himself slowly, no glass, no weapon. He looked up, this time his eyes almost seemed to be locked on. Another vampire. Uninvited.
"Let's go. I don't care if you want to stay, I'm not taking you home. I have to go....Let's go." He held his hand out to her, his eyes almost begging. An uninvited Vampire, He looked back to where the Vampire had been previously seen. Still there, he was being stopped and talked to. He cleared his head of thoughts of trying to save Alisha, just in case. He looked back at her, he silently prayed that she'd agree without a fuss.

He was looking around, his eyes seeming as though he was searching for something. Flicker here, flicker there, flickering everywhere. Of course, he might just be refusing to meet her eyes. But that was impossible, she reasoned to herself, he must be searching for a particular object. After all, why wouldn't he want to look at her?
Alisha started - his invitation was ... unexpected. She thought maybe he was worried about her getting hangover in an unknown place but somehow, she didn't believe that. She hesitated, torn between going and staying put. He seemed genuinely anxious, and she thought about how she had assumed he only had one expression a few moments ago, and almost laughed. She wanted to go, his story fascinated her. Most people's stories revolved around name, status, wealth yada yada yada. But him, he gave her an interesting answer, one that she only heard two times in her life before.
She looked at him, her mind already made up, but still looking at the situation. Abruptly, she stood up, and her own hand stretched out, but hovered in midair, posing a question.
"Where to then?"

Alec grabbed her by the wrist and turned before answering her. As he began to walk away he answered. He was walking, and every once in a while he'd look to the left to make sure the other Vampire hadn't noticed him. He suddenly began to feel the heat around him, the hearts beating, his hand, cold and numb even sensed her heart beat through her wrist. He ignored it, innocence always seemed to help victims escape such thoughts. His voice broke through after a few steps forward...
"How does fresh air sound to you?....I was thinking of the beach or a place in the mountains. Which do you prefer?"
He asked it sincerely, he moved her wrist into his other hand as he opened the door to the side parking lot. He shut the door behind them and he let go of her, thirst, lust, it drove him crazy more often than not. He lifted up his shirt to smell it, hopefully his smell wasn't too appealing. All cologne seemed to smell the same to him, his senses far too keen to pick up much of a difference between chemicals.
He curled his lip at the chemical smell, he took car keys out of his pocket and unlocked the car. A silver Volvo, sc90 Concept. He opened the car door for her, helping her in before shutting the door and walking around to his side. He slid inside, turning on the car, he locked the doors and sped in reverse, before returning, put it into 'Drive' gear and speeding out of the parking lot. He stopped at an intersection.
"Most tell me my driving is scary, if it is, I'll slow down....you're okay right?"
He raised an eyebrow at her, his eyes were now a topaz color. He knew it was about time he just told her the truth, but he planned to at least get to his destination before doing so. Somehow he felt himself becoming attached to her, as if he wasn't sure he'd be able to just let her go and not appear anymore. He bit his lip as he drove on, he stared intently almost afraid to take a glimpse at her. He watched his side and rear view mirrors, nervously, as if he were being chased.

She gasped as he pulled her, and she barely managed to follow, almost tripping on a chair. Yet for some reason, this running chasing thing appealed to her. Or maybe she was just utterly stoned. She noticed many glances thrown in their direction, and realised how awkward they looked. Alisha felt anxious all of a sudden, and wanted those glances to look away, to stop staring.
"Fresh air ... " she repeated, her voice sounding as though it came from far away. Alec let her go, and then the world shifted back into perspective again. Alisha cursed mentally – those weren’t her emotions, it was Alec’s. She lost control of her emotions, which made her feel others, yet it only worked on direct contact. She shook her head, trying to dispel any emotion that didn’t belong in her head.
Yes, she thought, as she unrolled the window to let air in, fresh air would really be nice. “Anywhere you want,” she replied, looking at Alec briefly, before staring out of the window again. The car screeched to a stop at an intersection, and Alisha glanced around, staring randomly at the pavement. Her eyes locked with someone familiar, and a sense of dread started filling her that she knew was completely hers. She grabbed on to her seat, her fingernails threatening to tear the fabric.
"Can this car go any faster?" she asked, a note of desperation quavering in her voice.

Alec looked at her, he smirked shaking his head slightly. He flicked the hair from his face, and bit his lip. He put on his seat belt and put his arm across her or in front of her, he held onto the door handle.
"Buckle up if you aren't already. Expect a speed of 80 plus."
With that warning, he took off. The car went speeding from the intersection. Some cars stopped and others slammed on brakes. He let out a laugh and watched as the cars driver's and passengers changed from calm to scared. The faces passing stricken in horror. He smirked and continued going, the beach was about a mile ahead.
