Alec stared down at her, raising an eyebrow. He leaned back, removing his hands from her. He cocked his head, wondering. He used his thumb to wipe away the sweat on her forehead. Sweat, another human necessity. He opened his mouth to say something and shut it. He decided to take a more caring approach.
"You okay? The one who ran away was it?
His tone was of care, almost worry. He moved his eyes from hers, and stared out the windshield of the car, without looking at anything really. He pondered an upcoming conversation, he should just ask questions. And let her bring up if she was staying or going, he felt awkward trying to explain his 'like'. His eyes wandered from the shop the sky, to a few people walking out. He didn't even seem to be looking anywhere, just automatically scanning movement.

Her eyes followed him, her head tilting slightly as he looked away from her. She nodded as an answer to Alec's question, still looking at him. She could feel the tension that hung over them, with words both said and unsaid. She knew she had to leave, staying here was not good for either of them, but there was nowhere to go. Nowhere that mattered anyway. She fell into a routine again, looking out of the window, just sensing the tension. The peace was almost calming, it gave a fake sense of security. She leaned back in her seat, watching people walk past, carrying on with their lives, while she was stuck in an unknown one.
Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.
The headache came back, but this time, the rhythm was lost. It came back with a ruthless vengeance, hitting against the side of her head as though raging a war. Alisha bit her lower lip in an effort to forget the pain, but it wasn't working. She needed something to distract her, disrupt her attention, make her forget. She was afraid to say something, there was fear that if she opened her mouth, a scream would come out in place of words. She took a deep breath in.
"Say something, please?" she asked, her voice almost begging, looking at Alec.

Alec watched her face twist in to some sort of pain. He leaned forward not sure what to do, he cocked his head. He thought of something fast, and decided to just spill it.
"Listen, I'm sorry for earlier. You don't really have to go. I enjoy talking to you. I'd like to get to know you better, if I must say it, I kind of like you. And it's weird with it being in such a short amount of time. I admit that. And when I said go, I thought it'd be easy to let go. But if you go, I can't promise you won't see me again...Let me get you some water."
He got out of the car and walked swiftly into the store, he walked to the back where the drinks were. He opened the far right side, pulling out a bottle of 'Dasani' water. He walked to the front, paying for it. He let the man keep the change from the the two dollars. He moved to his side of the car and got back in. He shut the door, holding it out to her, as he leaned back against his car door again.

Alisha hung on to his every word, anything to forget the banging inside her head. Her eyes widened but she didn't show it and as he rushed out of the car, her eyes still followed, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. She knew she should be afraid, at the very least anxious, but there was nothing of that. In fact, she felt pretty much the same way. She wasn't leaving anytime soon, she realised, even if he wanted her to leave, she was going to linger. There was something about both of them that connected each other, in a way she had never connected. It made her feel human. It made her feel real. She gladly took the water, and gulped down almost half of it at one go, not realising how thirsty she was.
Her headache slowed back into the familiar rhythm but she knew that she was not going to fall asleep this time. She turned to look at Alec, wanting to say many things, but none ready to come out. She played with her fingers, wondering what she ought to say. "I don't want to leave," she confessed, her eyes looking downwards. "Let me stay here with you, for a while. I need to forget myself."
She looked past him, to the road, to where people walked past them with curious glances. She couldn't care anymore. At least her Tabloid Princess title would remain this way, she thought to herself. She wondered how Alec was going to react to her confession. She worried that he might freak out and run away from her, but that might just be a little too far fetched.

Alec wasn't quite sure what she meant by forget herself. He cocked his head as she spoke. He looked over his shoulder as the people stared. He cast a glare at them that was so dangerous looking they turned and walked faster. He turned back to her, the expression no longer visible.
"Then don't. I'm not going to make you go. Stay as long as you want. But theres surely something you want to do rather than sit in my car...?" At first it was not a question, but near the end it turned into one. But he stayed perfectly still. He didn't move an inch, he merely subconsciously breathed, which was never needed. He caught the scent of someone's blood. He watched a man walk by that had gotten a scrape somewhere. The man looked up to see Alec staring at him. Alec's jaw tightened, the man continued walking.
Alec flicked his gaze to the mountains behind them. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply, his hand shot toward the door. He stopped, his hand shook as he fought it. He stopped as he realized she was probably watching him. His eyes had a dangerous glow of red."You'd be tempted to if your food walked by practically yelling 'bite me.' Or in your case 'eat me.' In this case, people aren't my food, well, I take that back, I've had my share...." He started the car, moving out, going to go through town and toward the woods on the mountains. He backed up and pulled out into the street, and turned right, not caring it was red. He drove the speed limit, continuing what he was saying."I don't usually 'pick off' humans. It's been hours since my last drink, and well, one drink after three days, you begin to feel desperate. And honestly, not trying to scare you, but it usually happens, had I not had a drink, you'd have been my victim. Simply because you were watching me....before you ask, we are heading to the woods across town. You will stay in the car. And you will lock the doors, and you will not call attention to yourself. I will not be gone but for about five minutes, food doesn't take long to catch."

She stared at him, and she realised it was quickly becoming her favourite way to past time -- staring at Alec. She grinned at that thought, and took a sip of water again, and listened to him. She could stay as long as she wanted ... that was a tempting thought, but there might be a little confusion if she ran away from home again. She watched as he turned into a statue, freezing himself. Her eyes frowned, wondering what the problem was, and she followed his gaze as he stared at a man, and she suddenly understood. She wanted to reach out to him, but feared that it would just make it worse. His eyes, now pulsating in red, looked at her and she suppressed a shudder at his words.
"You're hungry, it's reasonable," she replied after a while, as he pushed the car into gear.
She arched her eyebrow as he totally thrashed the speed limit, and rushed across what she was pretty sure was a red light. "You know," she commented lightly, grinning, "Breaking the speed limit in front of a princess won't get you much credit. Of course, I'll try not to tell on you." She knew he was doing all this for her, so that he wouldn't lose control and she felt guilty for it. She felt guilty that she was giving him so much trouble, and wondered if staying had been the correct decision after all.
"Fine," she sighed. "I'll lock myself up and wait like a good girl until you come back."

Alec shot her a look at her sarcasm. His jaw tightened, and then after a while he just smirked. He narrowed his eyes for a second, before speaking when she was done.
"If I didn't have to drink any blood ever again, jesus christ, hear me, I never would. I don't even think it tastes that great. I still have more human in me than you think...That is hwy I breathe, sometimes I yawn, I subconsciously itch. My body still craves human existence, it was only over a short period of time that I have been this creature of habit. I control everything I do, I control what I am. Luckily you don't have to worry, I can't let myself hurt you. So you aren't much of a threat to me loosing control."
He looked at her, before looking back. He sped the car up passing three cars in a row, and then continued onward turning left, he looked to the left, a few streets down he still saw the shop. He continued up the small road on the 'mountain'. Her rounded a few curves and turned right onto a gravel side stop. He stopped for a second, planning.

"Ah yes," Alisha commented dryly, "I'm sure that you still have your human tendencies." She sneaked a look at him though, observing him, trying to spot out his human existence, like he had mentioned earlier. "And I suppose," she slyly added, "That one of the tendencies is anger management? I could help you. You know, have therapy lessons to control your temper and fix your rather manic driving." She was trying to lighten the mood, and she hoped he didn't notice her trying to stray away from the topic of him and hunting.
She looked around her surroundings as Alec stopped the car, and gave a low whistle. It looked rather bare, even trees didn't seem to favour that area. Looking curiously at him, she asked, "Are you sure you'll find food here, Alec?"

Alec chuckled and looked at her, his eyes no longer red. He opened his car door and got out, but bent down to answer her question.
"You could help me, that is if you wanted to. Hunt here? Bah. Below!" He pointed down, passed the barrier or guard rail. He looked at her again this time with a grin that showed his teeth."Don't vworry too moch. Aight?" His once British accent taking on a Transylvanian accent. He gave a fake vampiric laugh. He became serious though at the end."But seriously, I don't know, turn on the car, listen to the radio? Look at the beach? Just don't leave the car...I'm not the only predator here....Okay okay I'm going. Schnell schnell!" He locked the door and shut it. He jumped up onto the guard rail. He leaned over it and began to laugh. He jumped and was gone in a flash, as he landed, he began to creep slowly, hoping to find some deer a few yards ahead. His radar and smell already kicking in.

Alisha leaned out of the car to look at where he was pointing at, and whistled again. Gazing back at him, she spoke, "This is kind of redundant, but don't go breaking anything when you go down." She smiled as he grinned, he was almost back to normal, returning back from that depressed mode he was in earlier. She was caught off guard by his accent, and stared curiously at him, before giving him a weird look.
"I'll stay in here," she assured him, and with a lighter tone, added, "I could promise you if you want, make a girl scout's honour, or something close to that." She was just going to tell him to have fun when he jumped on the guard rail, and she grinned slightly, watching him go. She closed the door, switching on the radio and rested her head against the headrest. Then, she muttered to herself, "Schnell schnell?" and then burst out laughing.

Alec breathed in, smelling the damp ground below the trees. He stepped forward, pulling his feet out of the damp soil patch he had intentionally landed in. He rushed forward past about 20 trees and stopped. Standing as still as a statue, below, a nice little cliff leading down into a small valley. He scanned it, bunnies, a few birds. He jerked his head to the right and jumped down, his eyes turning a bright red. He looked behind him, and then stood up. Dead ahead, about 30 yards were two deer. Females.
He stopped as a deer turned toward him, its eyes focusing on him, it turned its head and went back to eating. Before the deer even knew it, he had made his move. He grabbed a boulder from the right and rushed around slamming it into the side of the head of the first female. The second female took off, he let her. He turned and bent down, biting into the neck of the first female.
It only took him about a minute or two, to completely, drain the deer. It was a small female. And amazingly, he hadn't been that hungry after all. He turned to watch where the other deer went, it was only a few hills away, grazing. He shook his head. He ran to stalk it, just to get another drink, to ensure he was full.

Alisha was amazingly bored. She knew she had told Alec that she would stay inside, by she was extraordinarily tempted to just step outside. She scolded herself, sighed and then leaned back, looking out of the window. The sky was getting dark, it looked as though it was going to rain, or maybe it was just getting late. She glanced at the dashboard and frowned, it was getting late, and her parents would probably be considering calling up her friends by now. "Doesn't matter," she muttered to herself. She had a plan.
She flipped her mobile open, texting her brother. Smirking slightly, she flipped it close, and threw it on to the seat, and turned on the radio louder. Closing her eyes, she started singing along, tapping her feet.

Alec wiped off his mouth, removing any blood that was on him. He moved back into the darkness and made his way back to the car. His fangs slowly disappearing. He jumped up onto a tree and jumped toward the guard rail. He clung on, loosing his footing, he let go and slid back down, this time he tried again. Climbing the tree and jumping off so hard as he turned in mid air, there was a small indent in the bark on the tree. He landed in a crouch and stood up. He looked at the sky, intentionally giving his eyes time to turn to their topaz color.
He slammed his hand intentionally onto the door of the car just hard enough to make a loud "THUD". He chuckled and unlocked it with the keys, and slid in. He turned the car on, listening to the music for a second. He cocked his head at it, he never really listened to much music. He looked at her for a second, before starting to back out.
"So, did ya miss me?!" He asked it with a small grin, as he looked behind him to make sure he didn't hit anything. He smirked and slowly took off after putting it in drive. He didn't want to speed. He looked at her, as if asking her where she wanted to go.

Alisha sang along quite loudly, tapping, closing her eyes. She heard thunder rumble, and smiled slightly, taking comfort in the thought that it was going to rain. She liked rain. It was steady, with a rhythm. Alisha yelped loudly when the door banged, jumping out of her seat, and when Alec came in, she gave him one of her infamous death glares. "Nobody taught you to knock, Alec?" she commented, her tone dripping with sarcasm. She grabbed her mobile of his seat before he sat on it, and took a glance at it before pushing it back inside her pocket. "I suppose," she smiled slightly, "I was almost bored to death, but managed to survive."
"I don't know," she replied to his shrug, "Just drive? But ..." She trailed off, deciding not to go ahead with the question.

Alec cocked his head, and turned his head to turn right on an intersection. He stopped the car on the curb in front of a large convenient store. He looked at her then.
"Cars do run out of gas, you have parents, and I'm pretty sure they are gonna be oh sooo pissed. So let's see here, we can go see your parents? Or you can, I'm not sure me showing up would help...Or just drive, to where?..........By the way, You are really pretty." He gave a smile, and turned his head putting the car in drive. He backed out, taking a quick turn and making a small U, as he continued straight up the road instead of going right. His face pleasant, as he rested his right hand on the arm rest. His left hand resting loosely on the steering wheel.

Alisha was just about to respond, when his last comment took her off guard. She opened her mouth, closed it again, looking very much like a goldfish. She bit her lower lip and answered softly, "Thanks." Then, she snapped back into her usual self.
"Of course, I've heard that a couple of times before. And anyway, my parents getting pissed isn't anything extraordinary so I don't really mind. We'll stop when the gas runs out," she grinned, and then frowned. "No wait, that's not really a good idea."
She gave a quick glance upwards, at the sky, and had a mischevious smile as she turned to Alec. "Do you oppose strongly to running around in the rain and going crazy?"

Alec smirked and laughed at her next comment. He reached over and patted her on the shoulder. He looked at her.
"I'm sure you have. And it's true. And do I oppose strongly toward running about in the rain and going nuts?......Nope." He laughed and placed his arm back on the arm rest. He stopped at an intersection. He looked suddenly sad, but it completely erased itself. This avenue, an avenue he knew too well. He tried to fight back any old images, and he merely looked at her, and forget it completely, as a smile crossed his face.

She spotted his flicker of emotion, but decided not to mention it, feeling more content to be just next to him as it started to drizzle. She rolled down the window, letting the rain spatter against the door frame into the window. She started smiling, and leaned her head on the headrest, listening to the rain fall.
"Well if you agree, then we should execute that plan out of going crazy," Alisha commented, and kicked off her shoes, just because she wanted to. She brought her legs up and wrapped her arms around them, sitting up straighter. Then, she rested her head on her knees, turning to look at Alec.

Alec smirked and stopped the car, there was a dirt path on the right, and all around trees surrounded the road. He made a motion for her to get out as he did, and he reached in the back seat to grab his black hat, which he put on his head and angle it sideways. His eyes would glow orange otherwise.
"Go nuts. I'll time you." He chuckled pretending to look at his watch as if he really was. He heard his phone go off, he groaned. He turned putting the phone to his ear."Hello?" His tone seemed uninterested, and he itched the back of his neck with his left hand, again his body forgetting he wasn't human. He shook his head slowly before speaking. "You should have scheduled that earlier, I'm busy. No I'm not at a bar...well I was. If you saw me, why didn't you say hi...?.....Where are you?....Oh. Well I'm not in town actually.....I don't like crowds Joshua...That's why. Go skate...go go go." He gave a loud laugh which turned into a series of small giggles. He shook his head after saying goodbye and hung up the phone. He saw he had eight text messages, which he ignored and threw his phone in the car, his once laughing face turning to an angry, annoyed, and dangerous face. He felt like picking up his car and throwing it, but he restrained himself. He looked up at her, his face becoming emotionless."Sorry bout' that...."

Alisha giggled a little when he put on his hat, he looked different somehow. It was as though he was putting on a mask, to cover who he was, and she instantly wanted to take the hat off. Yet he looked more British, and she decided the hat could stay ... for a while, that is. She listened to him intently as he spoke on the phone, but didn't pay attention to the words, just the sound of it. She blinked when he mentioned the name Joshua, and wondered how he knew him, but didn't mention it, deciding to mention it later.
She watched, slightly gaping, as he went through his entire mood phase. "You're a little scary sometimes, Alec," she noted and grinned suddenly. "You know, you have a good shot of becoming a girl. Your mood swings are rather impressive."
Then she decided the hat had to go. Stretching out her hand, she took off his hat, brushing his hair slightly, and fit the hat on her own head. She grinned slightly, checking her reflection in the mirror. Turning back to Alec, she told him, "I'm not going to go crazy without you, you know?"
